You hopefully got the driver's insurance information. You should call the claims dept. of his company and make a claim. They will assign a claims adjuster and give you a claim number. If you think you've fully recovered, you can send them your hospital bill and any other expenses (such as prescription bills) and ask for a settlement, which should include something for your pain and inconvenience. If you were driving at the time, you can also make a claim for medical reimbursement if you have PIP coverage on your policy. You will have to call your own insurance claim department to do this. You have nothing to lose by doing this since it will not affect your premium or coverage. If your company pays, the settlement you get from the other company will be yours to keep.
