Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

personal injury

Injured ulnar nerve (left arm). When I turned around in front of mirror in dressing room I hit my arm into The mirror that was hinged and positioned at 45 degree angle from the wall in a major clothing store. Medical bills about $1000.00 so far and still have some pain but getting better. Is this worthwhile pursuing compensation for?

There are so many differing factors that go into a personal injury claim. Most personal injury attorneys will discuss your case with you without charge (specifically ask them prior to meeting with them).

This would be a very hard case to win. You would have to show that the mirror was somehow defective or not positioned properly. My experience with dressing room mirrors is that this is the normal configuration--3 mirrors "surrounding" the customer so that you can see the garmant from different angles. The store isn't a guarantor of your safety; you have a responsibility to be aware of your surroundings and protect yourself.
