Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Should I sign a Power of Attorney form?

I was involved in a serious auto crash with injuries due to another driver's negligence. I received a Power of Attorney form through the mail from the other guy's insurance company, stating it was for my car which was totaled. Is this normal?

I would not sign one without having a lawyer review it

It may be a normal form; if they pay for the full value of the car, they own the car and need to deal with the MVA. But you shouldn't sign anything without your lawyer reviewing it first. If you were injured, you absolutely should be represented by a lawyer.
