Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

I am 19 and I've been kicked out of my parents house. They won't give me the rest of my belongings, how can I get them?

The only way to get your belongings is to sue your parents. You will basically be arguing that either: (1) you paid for the items (and will have to show proof of that), or (2) the items were a gift, and your parents have "converted" the items to their own use (a fancy way of basically saying they stole your property). I strongly encourage you to try and work out a solution without going to court. I know they kicked you out and I'm sure there's a lot of animosity between you and your parents right now, but suing your parents is a life changing event that is hard to recover from. Think about it before you do it. In addition, think about consulting a local lawyer to discuss the SPECIFICS of your case (I'm sure this goes much deeper than the 1 sentence question you posted above) and your chances of success.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.****
