Correcting Real Property Transfer Date

Title company recorded property transfer 3 1/2 months after transfer executed. They entered transfer date as recording date. Should transfer date be corrected?

The deed should have been dated on the day the grantor signed it, usually at a settlement.

When the deed is presented for recording, the Recorder's office stamps the date of recording on it. Those are the only dates that really matter.
