After a foreclosure sale is ratified in Maryland, the person who bought at the auction officially owns the property and the prior owner no longer has ownership rights. Unlike some other states, a Maryland homeowner has no "redemption" rights after this point.

Thus, after ratification the person who bought at auction (which could be the mortgage company) can do whatever they want with the home and can evict anyone remaining in the property (with some rules and restrictions). Depending on what happened at auction the lender might pursue a deficiency judgment.
