''freestanding'' versus ''detached'' property

Is a Townhouse considered ''freestanding''. I want to buy a sales contract from a website and they say it is for the sale of a freestanding residential property.

"Freestanding" ordinarily means detached and doesn't refer to a townhouse, but I would think you could adopt the contract form to your needs. The contract form approved by realtors is used for both detached houses and townhouses.
