girl friend moved out but wants to get out of lease with our paying

me and my girl friend moved to maryland from west va in febuary. whe signed the lease with me. she moved out in late match but we continued dating. she payed on months rent. after that she hasnt paid anything and now she wants her name off of the lease. I think she should pay her half of the year. what is the law on this

Both you and your girlfriend are legally responsible to the landlord to pay the rent. Your problem is that you're there; she isn't. This means that unless you pay the full rent, the landlord will throw you out and may sue you for unpaid rent. You could in turn sue your girlfriend, but unless she's working you'll probably have a hard time collecting.
