Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

Power of Attorney for Real Estate Transaction

We live in North Dakota and are purchasing a property in Maryland. We want to assign power of attorney to a Maryland resident so he can conduct the entire real estate transaction for us. What form do we need to use for that?

Re: Power of Attorney for Real Estate Transaction

You need a specific durable power of attorney to sell real estate. I prepare such a document often as part of my real estate practice, which also includes conduct of the settlement, depending on where in MD it is located.
