Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

I have been appointed executor of my deceased grandmother's estate. It is my plan to reside at her home during probate to make it easier for me. I have been told by other attorneys around Baltimore that I can, but I am want to make sure. I have the blessing of the family in this matter, but I want to make sure it is legal. Thank you

To protect yourself, have the other leagtees (those inheriting) sign a consent allowing you to reside in the house. If you will be residing rent free, you might want to be personally repsonsible for all utlities, maintainance and tax payments. There is also the issue of home owners insurance which will likely increase as the house is no longer owner occupied
