Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

living will

my question is I worked in home

care my preivous client left me and

two other workers in her will the will

stated that we must be employed at

time of her death,but were laid off

and she was placed in a nursing

home she has since died. I want to

now is this will legally blinded.

Re: living will

Unless you had a written emploment contract you are most likely out of luck. Most states including Maryland view employment as "at will" which means unless you have a contract

you can be discharged at will (for any reason)

Also, Here the employer had to go to a nursing home which would normally lead to the discharge of employees working in the home
