Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

My mom died in 2007 and left a will that my sister is in possesion of. She has refused to share the content of the will with any of the other siblings. I saw the content of the will and was told that everyone would get a copy. My mom left a house in new york and my sister's name is on the deed.

The house was sold 3 months ago but she refuses to give us our share of the inheritence or even tell us how much the house was sold for. She has changed her story several times as to when we would get our share.

What actions can we take to get her to reveal what's really going on. We all believe now that she plans to keep the money for herself.

If your mother died in NY and her property was located there, you will need to hire a probate attorney in NY to assist you. This will not be cheap and may take some time. You may have also waited too long (it's been 4 years!) to act, so the sooner you obtain an attorney the better.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
