Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

Injured on job because of lack of safety equipment what can I do, and is it wort

I work in the paint dept. of my warehouse. I was mixing metallic powders into one of our paints as sometimes my job requires me to do. While pouring the powders into the paint some of it splashed up and got me in the eye. The place where I work, never issued me goggles, nor do they have an eye wash station, plus I have to mix these potentially deadly chemicals in a non ventillated with no suction to dispose of the particles in the air. I washed out my I and told them I needed to go to the hospital and left. I went and they flushed out me eye and said I was fine but it is still bugging me, sometimes light looks blurred, my eye still has an itching feeling constantly. I am even having trouble sleeping because of this. If you could give me some advice about what I can do, and would it be worth my time financialy to do anything. thank you.

You should see an eye specialist. You should contact an attorney to file a Claim with the Worker's Compensation Commission. You must file a claim within 60 days of injury, otherwise your claim may be disallowed.
