Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Offer Letter before Company is Bought Out

I accepted a position with a small company. I negotiated an extra week of vacation that was specified in th offer letter I signed. Six months later, the company was acquired by a large corporation. This large corporation stated that any negotiated vacation and benefits were not being recognized. Do they have the right to change the terms of the original offer that was accepted and signed by the original executives and myself?

Re: Offer Letter before Company is Bought Out

Companies may change vacation policies in certain circumstances with proper notice, but they can't take away earned vacation benefits retroactively.
