Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

I was recently working for a non-profit summer camp. I am the technology director, they promoted me during the summer as the Summer camp director, and because there was a vacancy of the Aquatics director position, they appointed me of that position as well without being compensated. Is this illegal, or do I have to go to court to receive compensation?

It is not clear that it is illegal.

You need to be clear what the terms of your employment and appointment are and their rights. You so far have not stated a claim/

Unless you had an agreement for additional compensation for the additional duties, an employer may assign additional duties without paying additional compensation.
