I would like to know the basis on which a newspaper or media organization can appeal against a closure by a court under the Massachusetts general law c. 278, 16 A?

Re: media law

In the early 1980s, the Supreme Judicial Court of Mass. decided two cases brought by the

Globe Newspaper Company. The Globe wanted access to the trial of

a defendant for the sexual assault of minors.

The basis is in those two opinions.

The present Judge McHugh represented the Globe

and the present Judge Sikora was the ADA representing the Commonwealth.

A few years prior thereto was the Ottaway case. Look at that too.
