I have an account with Lechmere stores. They have

gone bankrupt. What are my rights as a consumer about

the remaining balance on my account? Do I owe a

Re: Consumer Rights

Yes. There will be a bankruptcy trustee whose job it will be to pay off the creditors of Lechmeres, those folks that sold them stuff and didn't get paid, and to do that, the trustee will of course collect money from you. You clearly owe the money and bankrupt doesn't mean non-existent. I'm sorry about that!

How much do you owe them? If it's a lot of money, contact an attorney anyway.
