open my own supermarket chain

if i hit the lottery,and wanted to open a supermarket. would i have to buy an excisting supermarket or could i open my own and call it what i like?

You may have the option of buying an existing business, starting one from start up, or possibly acquiring a franchise or license under an existing brand.

You can open your own and as long as you get the proper licenses and join a buying group for independent super markets.

However if you do not know anything about the Supermarket business this is a foolish idea. There are a lot of critical knowledge to know in buying, merchandising and picking a location.

It takes a great deal of knowledge and experience to understand pricing and merchandising.

I grew up in the wholesale food business and I can tell you people who open independent supermarkets need to know their business to succeed.
