Legal Question in Technology Law in Massachusetts

Company website ownership

I haven recently left my position at a small retail establishment- the primary duty i brought was completely overseeing the website. I was in charge of finding and purchasing domain and hosting- and completely in charge of all html code and design. Am I within my rights to demand that the current website be removed due to it being mine? Some of the images are their property- and they will not be taken, simply removed from my layout and still in their possesion. Thank you for any advice on this matter.

Re: Company website ownership

If you developed the Web site in your capacity as an employee, the company employer owned it from the moment that you created it. Accordingly, you have no further rights in it and cannot demand any changes.
