Re: Home Improvement Contractor

You certainly want to contact an attorney as soon as possible, especially if the relationship with the contractor has deteriorated to the point where you do not expect the individual will return.

As a consumer, you have extensive and valuable rights under both the Home Improvement Contractor's Act, and the Consumer Protection Act here in the Commonwealth. But, the result will likely depend on the language of your contract, and other circumstances - An attorney will require more facts to give you an indication of the likelihood of recovery.

Retaining an attorney and being proactive may help you negotiate a fair result.
