When a coat is checked in at a coat check with a ticket number, is the club / bar liable for coats that are lost or given to the wrong person who doesn't have the right ticket.

Yes, the club/bar can be held liable for it's own negligence and any disclaimer that typically might be posted or printed on the reverse of your coat check ticket stub would be void as against public policy against indemnifying oneself for one's own negligence. Good Luck!
