Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

I had a llawyer handling a case for me against my fuel provider who's worker burned my bathroom wall while fixing my furnace. I got an estimate for $795.00 for repairs and took pictures of my wall. I gave the lawyer all this information. He insisted that I sue for $3,000 plus. He had my case for over two years with no settlement. Now his office has closed due to illness and he informed me that he would not be handling my case. He would be forwarding my case to another lawyer. The new lawyer called and she informed me that she would contact meas soon as she received my information from said lawyer. She never even told me her name or contacted me, that was three months ago. I went to my lawyers office to find out who they had sent my case to and they had no answer. I am completely confused as to who I can contact or what my rights actually are. His law firm has really messed me up. Please advise? thank you!
