Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

receiving a payment

I recently sold a item on ebay to a woman in Georgia for $470.01. That was a month ago and I have not received a payment for it yet. When I sent her messages at first she would respond by saying give it a few days, then it became I sent it theres nothing else I can do. I responded by saying she has the receipt and can trace it. First she said she had the receipt now she says she doesn't. What can I do to get my money?

Re: receiving a payment

The best thing to do in your situation is to repost the item and try to sell it on ebay again. You won't be charged the standard selling fee for the purchase that went sour. Simply note to ebay that the buyer didn't pay and they will give her a strike against her records. I believe if you get 3 strikes on ebay, you get banned.

Taking her to court would not be a wise decision in this case.
