Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

No title from Dealer after repeated calls

I bought a vehicle one week ago from a delaership in NY. I am located in MA. The delaership keeps giving me stories that FEDEX never picked-up the package. But upon calling FedEx they state they have no packages for me in the system. Nor, do they have any calls for pick-ups.

I am at the point where I am going to drive back to NY with the vehicle and demand my money back.

What is my legal recourse?

Thank you.

Re: No title from Dealer after repeated calls

Call the police in the municipality, or the NY State Police, and advise them that you are having this problem. Relate your concern that you have a larger problem -- perhaps you have unwittingly received stolen property, or stumbled into some other problem. Ask what they can do to help. They may choose to do nothing, or they may have a solution.

You could also seek assistance from the consumer office of the NY Attorney General, or perhaps the NY motor vehicle registry.
