Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Case dismissed without prejudice?

Hello, My case has been dismissed w/o prejudice in criminal court (not superior). When will I get my bail money back and will the prosecutor be able to bring these charges against me again in superior court or other? Thanks for your help.

You can get your bail back now however, if you owe the court any money it will be deducted from your bail. The Commonwealth can only bring the charges again under certain circumstances. Generally, they do not even attempt to do this. The best way to make sure that they do not is to have no further interaction with the court system or with the alleged victim of the case that was dismissed.
