I got a dwi in massachusetts which is my second in that state, however I have had 2 in other states. Do the dwi convictions in other states count against me in a massachusetts court?

Re: dwi

Yes, if the prosecution is able to prove them. This could be charged as a 4th offense, which carries a considerable amount of mandatory jail time (2-2 1/2 years with a minimum of 12 months to serve behind bars before eligible for parole) and hefty fines (minimum of $1500, maximum of $25,000). You should be represented by an attorney.
