Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

False cross assault and battery charge

My boyfriends ex-wife showed up at my home, where her daughters were visiting with their Dad, started an argument with him. She started to swear at me then forced her way into my home and shoved me into a rail.My boyfriend pulled her off me and got her out the door. I called 911 first but she is claiming I pushed her first, (false, never touched her) she pushed in self defense and my boyfriend threw her down stairs. He was arrested for A & B on household member. She has a history of threatening people, being very volatile and violent. She is making her children testify to her lies, she has no integrity. How can I defend myself? Character witnesses against her and for me? Statements of previous encounters? Charges of perjury? She is not willing to dismiss the charges and my lawyer is not exactly giving me hope that justice will be served.
