Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Felony Sealed, Expunged, 20 plus years ago

As a dumb 18 year old, I ended up at the wrong place with the wrong person, and got a burglary charge. I was given probation and that was it. Since then, I've not had any run ins whatsoever. That was 23 years ago.

I am a professional with a company and have been there for 15 years, at which time they didn't have to check backgrounds. I may be searching for a job soon, and with the ease of technology today, I am guessing this will readily show up. What are my options?

It is possible to get your record sealed. More and more items are coming up in background checks then ever before due to the increase in data available and technology updates. There are some instances where you would not want your record sealed, however, that is a matter you should discuss with an attorney. I have handled similar matters in the past, please feel free to contact me in regards to representation.
