Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

harrassment

We hired a construction company to work on our house and had to fire them. They have been harrassing us ever since. My son started his first year of high school where there son goes. The kid is hurting my son.He is coming to our house and threatening my son.The school won't help us,the police wont't help us.The court won't let us get a restraining order because my son and this kid never had a ''relationaship''.What can we do to protect our child.Does he have to hurt or kill him before someone will help us?

Re: harrassment

If your son has really been threatened by the other child you may want to file a criminal complaint application for threats with the local district court. The clerk's office can walk you through the process.

Re: harrassment

Send him a Notice of Trespass.

Send it both certified (return receipt requested) and first-class mail. Send a certified copy (return receipt requested) also to the local police.

If he comes to your house, call the police. Be prepared to take photoSSSS of him when he arrives. The police then can charge him with trespass.

If he is gone by the time the police come, you take out a criminal complaint for criminal trespass.
