Sealing a record
I want to know what steps I can take to seal a felony conviction that occurred on February 1993.The 1st count was illegal possession of a firearm which I received a sentence of 3 to 5 years 1 mandatory to serve. The 2nd count was attempted extortion, which I received a sentence of 3 to 5 years, 2 years probation. My entire sentence was an On and After sentence. I wrapped up my sentence on February 1996. I have not had any further infractions since this, I am trying to get a better paying job but it is hard because I have this hanging over my head. This all happened when I lived in Massachusetts. Any help would truly be appreciated.
