Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts

2nd Offense DUI moving to MA from CA

I recently received a 2nd offense DUI with injuries and am supposed to be moving to MA in August. Is there reciprocity between these two states and if so, will my MA penalties be comparable or worse in MA.

Massachusetts must give the same treatment as a sister state MGLA c. 90 sec.22, Dowling v. registrar of Motor Vehicles (1997) 682 N.E. 2d 842, 425 Mass. 523. See my earlier post on 4/1/04 under Traffic law. Welcome to Massachusetts.

This is handled only in CA, and will appear on your record in all states. You clearly need an attorney on this case, with injuries you are facing substantial jail time and other penalties. Contact me if interested.
