Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts

Hit by a drunk driver

I was hit by a drunk driver on Friday night, she was driving on the wrong side of the highway. Both cars are totalled. She only had $10,000 worth insurance for property damage, and my insurance was cancelled without my knowledge. I was hurt in the crash, including a damaged knee, bruising and I'm now going through PTSD. I am going over her in district court. What are my options for getting the rest of the money for my car, and what kind of lawyer should I be looking for? I'm currently working with a personal injury lawyer, but I want to make sure he is getting me everything he can. This girl committed a criminal act, and I feel like she is only getting a slap on the wrist.

Re: Hit by a drunk driver

It depends.

You need to work with your attorney, or get a book on personal injury actions.
