what are the insurance responsibilities for the damaged vehicle? Should a government appointed attorney be sufficient? do I need to hire a private attorney? what should my next steps be?

1. The insurer's coverage of the damaged car depends on the nature of your coverage.

2. A court appointed attorney can be appointed if you are eligible. There is no should. Like any other group, not all of the practitioner's are equally able.

3. I believe that the consequences of this offense are serious enough that you would be foolish not to at least consult an attorney. The consideration of retaining a private vs. a court appointed attorney cannot be fully discussed in the space allotted.
