Under advisement?

Hi,

I was in court today on a college cost sharing issue and the Judge said that he'll ''take it under advisement''. What exactly does that mean?

When a judge takes a matter "under advisement" it means that he/she is simply going to take some time to review the matter further before issuing a decision.

It means will make his decision at a later date.

The judge wants to think about it, and then issue the order.
