Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Divorce/annulment

I have been married 8 months. I knew he was bi when I married him. Turns out he is gay. Can we get an annulment based on his sexuality?

Re: Divorce/annulment

I have never handled a case on annulment but the rules are similar to those of divorces, which I practice regularly.

It seems as if your husband and yourself both want the annulment. if that is the case, you can allege fraud as the ground for annulling the marriage and since would not protest, the court will grant the reguest for annulment.

You file a Complaint for Annulment with the court and proceed as if it was a divorce.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
