my friend lives in Louisville, Ky and has been summonsed to Boston, mass for child support issues. He has no job and no means to get to Boston, what should he do?

He should call the courthouse and ask to speak with the courtroom clerk. Ask for permission to telephone in during the hearing instead of traveling to Boston.
