Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I live in massachusetts. I am divorced from my son's mother. We share legal and physical custody. She has primary physical custody. She told me I am not allowed to take him from his school at any time. My partner is divorced from her daughter's father. Her daughter's school, also a Mass. state school says that her ex husband can take their daughter from the school at any time without the school needing to tell her. And this is the case unless there is an existing restraining order in place. How can her situation be different from mine? Is HER school right about the law, or is my ex wife/my son's school correct?

What does your divorce agreement say about scheduled pick up time? This is a question where I would need a little bit more information to answer it properly.
