Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

support of a child after divorce

In my divorce papers it states ''Parties shall share equally all ordinary uninsured cost for the minor child'' this is under the medical insurance section. What is this refering to? Co-pay,RXs contacts, glasses? Thank you for your time and help.

Usually, the term "ordinary" uninsured means co-pays and usually eye-glasses and prescriptions. Contacts are cosmetic usually, so there is an argument there for not paying for them. If your child had contacts during the marriage, that argument would be difficult. Ordinary uninsured also does not refer to orthodontia, cosmetic surgery, or other non-essential procedures.
