Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

I am a graphic designer and I have a client who hasn't paid me for work I've done. I have about $4000. of work done without a contract (just have invoices) and $1100. of work done under a contract, both unpaid. How do I get started on collecting payment leagly?

Presuming you have already tried calling, and sending letters indicating that you need to be paid for your work, it may be time to get an attorney involved.

Sometimes a simple letter from an attorney letting the other party know that arrears exist, and need to be paid is sufficient to get the ball rolling.

The amounts at issue $5100.00, may be enough to make the filing of a civil suit to recover the money due a legitimate prospect.

My hourly rate is low, and I am occasionally willing to work on a flat fee basis to help resolve these kinds of problems. You can feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at 617-230-2779
