Legal Question in Immigration Law in Massachusetts

birth date

my brother is applying for immigration. his date of birth on

his birth certificate (sept 20 1966) is different from that on his passport (may 30 1966).

would this cause any problem? what should he do to get around it?

The discrepancy between his birth certificate and passport may cause a problem, so either get it fixed, or be ready to explain why it differs -- it would be best to include affidavits in support of one or the other, as well as the reasons behind the error. I would get this fixed right away. I presume the date on the birth certificate is correct; therefore, you can use it to prove there is an error on the passport. Good luck!
