Legal Question in Immigration Law in Massachusetts

Green Card/ US Citizenship

I was born in the UK to Kuwaiti parents and came to the USA as a child and lived there until I was about 7 years old. Then I moved back to Kuwait and have since assumed the abandoned LPR status. I wish to return to the USA to attend university. When I am 18, can I get my Green Card back? I was dropped against my will. I also intend to live and work in the USA after completion of my university years. I wish to become a lawful US Citizen.

Will it be possible to get my Green Card back at 18? After 5 years, can I get my US citizenship?

PS: I am currently in Kuwait, though it was not one of the countries available on the drop down menu for location. I used to live in Boston, Massachusetts.

Re: Green Card/ US Citizenship

Unfortunately, the abandonment of residence by the parents would be imputed to the minor child under the case law. Under the circumstances you describe, you won't be able to get your green card back. Nor, will you be able to get citizenship.
