Why have you failed to renew your green card? Did you ever have had to go to court since you became a permanent resident? We would need more information in order to be able to better assess the situation. Feel free to contact me to discuss further in private. We offer free initial consultations to Law Guru users. Good luck!

Re: immigration

If only your card expired but you have done nothing to violate your immigration status you can renew online using the I-90 form. If you had either a two year card or have been out of the country extensively you may have different issues. If you have further questions please contact my office.

Re: immigration

Simply apply for a new card -- you will be required to obtain fingerprints, but if you have no negative criminal factors, you will get a new card issued. If you believe you may have a problem, contact a good immigration lawyer.
