immigration matter

Hi, I am greencard holder. In the US for 5 year. 3 year ago I got involved in the criminal matter which was larceny over $250. I got arrested and got probation for 1 year. After year the case got dismissed with NO GUILTY(CWOF). Wants to apply for my citizenship.

Unfortunately, larceny over $250 charges are usually construed as crimes of moral turpitude for immigration purposes. Even if you obtained probation and the case was later continued without a finding, it could still constitute a conviction for immigration purposes. I would suggest you contact an experienced immigration attorney and supply him or her with copies of your docket sheets relating to this criminal matter so that he or she can better advise you on what consequences this charge would have on your status and what steps to take next.
