life insurance claim
If I cash a check from a life insurance and plan to put a legalclaim in for the money they shorted me, can I cash the check for the wrong amount they sent me which is less than they should have? Will I still be able to put a legal claim in for the remaining amount in court?

No. By cashing the check you have essentially agreed to the terms of the check and have agreed to waive any shortcomings from it.
