Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Massachusetts

I was with my friend and we went into this basemnt of a house because the door was unlocked and we were in there for about 5 minutes. We didn't take anything. Then, we saw the neighbor and ran into the woods, about 15 minutes later we get a call from our friend who was on lookout saying we had to come back becasue there were police. So, we come back and the police take us down to the station and book us. We have a court date scheduled for the upcoming Monday. What i want to know is if I stay out of trouble for the remainder of my high school years, will the chance of me being accepted into a good college decrease?

It depends on the charges and your record.

If you have no prior and this is not harsh, it may be diverted and no charges will come of it.
