Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

I had a question dut to employment issues

My boyfriend got fired from his job today and he got 2 diff reasons why as he only worked there for 7 weeks one applied that he was rude other one applied that he didnt make the stands they had in the probation peorid of work, which he only had a 30 day peorid which he wrkd over now there saying he never took 2 tests he was suppose to take when he askd numrous times to his boss which would alawaays make excuses due to his boss leaving early all the time or taking time off of work or as other employes would call out etc n my bf would alaways ask when he can take them n even numrous times to go in on a day off as well,Beside that he never got no written or verbal waring contain this issue,another part he feels discarminted by is bc he had fracture 6 ribs and got a drs note stating he couldnt work for 3 days and then after taking those days off he goes back to work and works the whole day and then the hr lady even had him fill out paper work for his health benfits and explain to him they dnt start til nect week etc and as well as that day we got ivited to go to a coctail meeting outing for this friday for a work meeting and his boss even askd him if it was ok for hisself to take a day off and switched the schedule so my bf could work for him on anf=d thats after he worked a 7 hour day and then took him in the office and said he was fired and he still confused very much he even got fired with out ne notice etc,his manger never showed him how to do certain things and the sad part was my boyfriend was an assistant manger and only wrkd for less than 2 months and knew how to do more than the other employees as well as the boss which he had to learn on his own due to the lack of quality his boss had and he was never trined to do so,his own boss even asked him on the phone how to close out the computer and my bf stated that he no longer works there and cant give that information out,Theres also a few other things such as his boss sent him a few times to go and pick up materials driving a ryder truck with out obtaining a dot card he drove 4 to 5 times to new york with out a card and then finally kept asking his boss to make an apotmint so he could obtain a card which finally he did make an apt n he passed it but as a manger of a company he should of never sent an employee out with not having one.So im bascially wondering if i have a case or not theres more information and stuff we can go over with but as of right now he just wants to know what he can do about this and of course if there was a case he can file he would be the one who will be calling and making anh appoitment with a lawyer
