Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Tenant swimming pool liability

I am a tenant who is renting a house, I rent the house and the yard, no other tenants. I wanted to put up a pool, it is a temp. pool, the inflatable kind that comes down every fall 18ft round, 40 inches deep. My landlord has a question about whether or not she would be liable if someone was injured in it. I thought that since it was my pool, and technically the yard is my property? I would be liable not her; is this true? Thanks.

Re: Tenant swimming pool liability

Both tenant and landlord could be liable.

Consider child proof fencing and adequate insurance coverage for both.
