Re: Unfit rental living conditions

You should contact the Board of Health in the city/town where the apartment is located. You shoud request a sanitary code inspection. Each city/town has inspectors who perform inspections and write the violations and ensure the property owner fixes them. You will also receive a copy of the report. All residential apartments must meet the state's sanitary code. If the landlord fails to repair, you may have a claim for damages.
