Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Massachusetts

Attorney breach of contract.

In 1992 I obtained an attorney to take care of my divorce, at that time I signed a contract,paid 1500.We split again and went back to the attorney agreed to help me.At the time I was very sick and I was advised by the attorney that my fees could be paid by the money that I would receive from my e-husbnds retirement.At the end of the divorce I was advised she was unable to take the funds from it. The attorney is sueing me.

Re: Attorney breach of contract.

There may be a statute of limitation problem for the attorney. Breach of contract is usually limited to 6 years, and you may have a counter claim.
