Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Massachusetts

Consumer fraud/attorney

I hired an attorney to represent me in a child custody dispute. I paid $3500.00 in two installments as indicated in the contract. This attorney never told me he was being indefinitely suspended for illegal use of client's fees, and neglected my case, failing to file emergency orders on my behalf or even show up for court. I am in Massachusetts. What recourse do I have?

Re: Consumer fraud/attorney

We can represent you in a claim against the attorney as well as a filing with the Client Protection Fund. I will need a copy of the retainer agreement(contract) and cancelled checks. Contact my office to schedule a time to review.
